2 ways to earn quick cash on your phone
The following are some easy-to-use apps I have personally tried and tested. You can download them right now and start earning extra pocket cash in your free time.
1. Download Field Agent and search for mystery shopping gigs near you.
Field Agent is an app that shows a map of mystery shopping gig opportunities at stores near you. Setting up your profile is super easy. There isn’t much required from you as a “mystery shopper” especially compared to many mystery shopping platforms out there. Field Agent is the most digitally savvy mystery shopping gig site I have ever used. Now it is the only mystery shopping gig site I use and don’t waste my time with the others.
How it works:
When you login, you’ll see a list of available “jobs” (aka tasks) near you based on your GPS. You can also search other areas, but I really like the geographic match. I typically only open the app while I’m already at a big box store like Walmart and see if there are any active shops while I’m already there. And I have scored some really great jobs!
A couple of times now, I’ve opened the app while picking something up from Walmart (Walmart is a very common store listed in the app BTW) and have taken jobs to buy a product like a shampoo or granola and leave feedback. Anytime you’re asked to buy a product, you get reimbursed for the cost of the product PLUS the gig fee for you to answer a couple of questions about your mystery shop experience and about your experience trying or tasting the product itself. Some of the products I’ve gotten for free to date: organic granola, sulfate-free shampoo, aluminum-free women’s deodorant, and a lavender-scented body wash. (plus, I was paid for my time on the feedback of the job for each of those too!)
I think Field Agent is a fun way to try new products and earn a bit of extra cash without much effort. Unlike other apps, this one pays out in cash via direct deposit to your bank account. If you have some free time and enjoy mystery shopping, this could be a nice paying regular side hustle.
2. Download Crowdtap and start taking mini-surveys.
Crowdtap is a platform big brands and market research companies use to ask consumers about their buying preferences and habits. It’s an easy to use app and unlike other survey websites I’ve seen in the past that send you a ton of spam and sell your data, Crowdtap keeps your data anonoumous to the companies.
Their surveys are very simple. Often just 1-2 multiple choice type questions. You can take the surveys on your computer or on their app on your phone. I prefer the app on the phone because it’s super easy to open and answer a few questions when I have some downtime like waiting in line at store.
