Best birthday freebies and deals for May 2022

Birthdays are a special time to celebrate another trip around the sun and what better way to do that than by indulging in some amazing birthday freebies? Just like you, I absolutely adore birthday freebies, and in this blog post, I’ll be sharing my favorite (and least favorite) deals from May 2022. So, let’s dive in and discover some fantastic birthday perks!
First on my list of favorites is the free clothing rental item from Armoire. If you’re already subscribed to Armoire, you can snag a stylish piece from their collection for absolutely free. It’s a great way to try out new looks without committing to a purchase. I am a current member because I do a lot of travel to professional tradeshows and speaking events with my current job and having a clothing rental membership rather than buying outsits makes sense for me financially at the moment. This particular perk lined up well with a big event I am attending this month and will be on stage presenting. So I’ve added a statement-making suit (worth over $550 retail) to my order for the month. Wish me luck!
Next up is the free Savory Spice spice blend. As a foodie, I’m always on the lookout for new flavors and seasonings to enhance my culinary creations. This freebie allows you to experiment with a new spice blend and elevate your cooking to new heights.
Who doesn’t love a free Starbucks drink? Whether you’re a coffee addict like me or a fan of their decadent Frappuccinos, a complimentary birthday drink from Starbucks is always a treat I look forward to. Sip on your favorite beverage and enjoy the warm and cozy atmosphere of their coffee shops.
Beauty lovers, rejoice! Sephora offers a delightful birthday gift every year. This year’s gift was a deluxe hair treatment duo sample of a brand I was wanting to try anyway. So I’m looking forward to trying it out.
Now, let’s talk about the birthday freebies that didn’t quite hit the mark for me this year. The free Ulta gift, although a generous gesture, didn’t quite live up to my expectations. Sometimes, certain products may not align with our preferences, but it’s still a thoughtful gesture from Ulta.
One freebie I chose note to redeem was the free Panera pastry. While Panera is known for its delicious baked goods, I follow a gluten-free diet and they don’t offer any GF pastry items. I was hoping for something more substantial to enjoy on my special day (a bowl of their yummy tomato soup maybe?). Nonetheless, it’s still a sweet gesture from Panera many people can enjoy if their diet allows it.
For the same reason, the free Krispy Kreme dozen donuts and free bundlet cake at Nothing Bundt Cakes didn’t make it to my favorites list this year. Maybe someday they will offer GF options. And while Krispy Kreme’s donuts are undeniably delicious, a dozen may be a bit overwhelming for a single birthday celebration. However, it’s a great opportunity to share the joy with friends, family, or colleagues. I gave my free dozen to some family members who live close by as a fun Saturday morning surprise. I also gifted my free Nothing Bundt Cake to my mom for Mother’s Day since it fell the day after my birthday.
As for the free Moe’s burrito, I found it to be a decent freebie, but it didn’t quite stand out compared to other options. Nevertheless, if you’re a fan of Moe’s Southwest Grill, a free burrito is a tasty way to celebrate your special day.
Now, let’s talk about some freebies that left me scratching my head. A free frozen yogurt at Ikea sounds exciting at first, but in reality, it’s a bit underwhelming because I think they give free frozen yogurts to loyalty club members anyway. I also don’t live close to an Ikea store and had no travel plans near the closest one, so I didn’t redeem this one. However, if you happen to be at Ikea (or live close to one) and need a sweet treat, it’s a decent option.
On a positive note, receiving a 5% off coupon at Target for your birthday is still a nice perk if you have something to buy at Target anyway. Although it may not be as exciting as other freebies, it allows you to save some money on your next shopping trip.
In conclusion, birthday freebies are a fantastic way to add some extra joy and excitement to your special day.
